Microbiome Central is a cross-indexed database for identifying bacterial strains, products, companies, and the healthful effects associated with those strains and products.

Select any item from the four dropdown lists to display cross-indexed information about the selected item. Note that selections are not additive. Selecting an item from any list resets selections in all the other lists. The following is a description of what is displayed after making a selection in each of the lists.

Select Bacterial Strain: Displays the selected strain, products containing the selected strain (with links to the product and company that provides it), health effects attributed to the selected strain, and any applicable reference resources associated with the selected strain.

Select Desired Health Effect: Displays the selected strain effect, strains that may provide the selected effect, and any applicable reference resources associated with the selected effect.

Select Product: Displays the selected product and company that provides the product (with links to both) and a list of bacterial strains and total CFUs provided by each product and any applicable reference resources associated with the selected product.

Select Company: Displays the selected company (with link), products offered by that company (with links), and any applicable reference resources associated with the selected company.

Click the "Close" button in the bottom, right-hand corner of this Help message box to close it.
