Latest results of CAC score and incidental findings

Hi I just received my latest CAC scans score. It was 20 total with 19 in LAD and one in our RCA. This was done on a 32 slice machine.

Last October I had a CAC scan on 64 slice machine and I had a total score of 18 with 17 being in the LAD and 1 in the RCA.

incidental findings:

1.  mild aortic atherosclerosis

question: does this lifestyle keep plaque located there from growing quickly?

 2.  two right upper lobe nodules Very small 2 mm.

3.  Three hepatic hypodensities with fluid 4.4 cm likely benign likely fluid filled cyst.

I am a 58-year-old female who has been following the wheat belly and doctored strategies for almost 4 years now no cheats unless it is done to me without me knowing. i have lost a substantial amount of weight. My ldl continues to be high. Most of dads side of family were dead by 60 with heart problems.
My blood pressure is really good. My Ac1 was 5 last time done.

Does this look like progress?

I know my doctor is really going to be pushing the statins and medications on me again. Does Statin therapy ever help? When is it time to consider that?

thank you!

Thank you Dr. Davis, hopefully this trend will continue.

Is  the aortic atherosclerosis slowed down by this lifestyle, I’m assuming it also increases like the arterial plaque?
