HX of Migraines. Tolerating 2 1/2 cups of Mg water daily magnificently.  I am happy to increase dose.  Is there a upper limit to consider?

Goes by symptoms, I believe.  Too much and you get diarrhea.  Are you spacing it out over the day?  That helps.  I take 1200 mg of mag a day and my RBC levels are still mid-range.

Yes: 8 ounces per day would provide the minimum. Maximum would be 8 ounces 3 times per day. 

Recall that 8 ounces provides 180 mg magnesium.

Toby, my guess is that your result is Serum Mg, not RBC Mg. My RBC Mg lab range is 4.2-6.8 mg/dL.

OK... actually when you convert it is: 6.318mg/L
