Hello

I’m currently trying to make the L. reuteri yogurt coconut version. I use the following.

Trader Joe’s full fat coconut milk 1 can
Trader Joe’s 1 can of coconut cream.

1 of Dr. Davis’s L. reuteri capsules
1 tablespoon of micro ingredients inulin
1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder

I do heat all the ingredients to 180 and then let it cool under 110° before adding the L. reuteri capsule.

I’ve tried it in my Instapot on the yogurt setting and sous vide. Tried in ultimate yogurt maker, and I also own a Ferment Pro. I’ve yet to be able to make a batch without there being splotches of pink growth on the very top.

I’ve had no problems in any of the devices above making a standard coconut yogurt with a coconut cult starter.  I’ve let it ferment for 36 hours, no problems.

My last batch when I checked it around 20 hours, it had started to grow the pink blotches. This was being in the Fermentpro. 
Could I have a bad batch of L. reuteri?
