Posted: 10/28/2023 9:06:19 AM   In Oct 2020, I was shocked to learn I had heart disease. My CAC was 1257.  I went Undoctored, and it took a while for me to "dial-in" the new diet and lifestyle. I was able get another CAC scan on the same imaging machine a year later (2021) which showed only a 10% increase. I was able to get another one on the same machine about 3 weeks ago (though they ignored my request that it be read by the same radiologist). During that year gap, in June of 2022, I got a CAC scan on a different machine - one of those independent companies that offers diagnostic scans for anyone willing to pay for them.  I put them all in a table, and made a chart (see below). This shows the calcium in the different blood vessels seems to vary year over year in odd ways. The left main artery (LM) went from 276 to zero. The others went both up and down, but ended up higher.  Does anyone know why the scores jump around like that?   I have been as rigorous as I could be on the program. The hardest part is avoiding the vegetable oils that are so ubiquitous in restaurant food. I admit to minor "cheats" during that time, like having an ice cream or a cookie a few times per year, or eating some bread or cake while on a cruise vacation.  Could those cheats be responsible?
