Add Caron to the Wheat Belly 50-Pound Club

Caron before & after

Caron shared her before and after Wheat Belly photos.

“55 lbs down and holding steady!”

Doesn’t she look terrific? Her now slender build reminds me of the sorts of elegant ladies that we’d see in the 1950s and 1960s before the epidemic of obesity and overweight seized the world.

And, as Caron points out, if you lose weight living the Wheat Belly lifestyle, you don’t regain the weight as you do with weight loss achieved through calorie restriction or with prescription drugs. The drugs, in particular, are notorious for this effect: lose, say, 25 pounds with a year-long course of drugs that can cost thousands of dollars, then regain it all back once you stop. This is why manufacturers quietly suggest (off-label from FDA approval terms) that people stay on them long-term–a guaranteed long-term revenue stream. But it means you are stuck with the side-effects and expense without obtaining the full benefit of a grain-free lifestyle.

Here is an update on Carol, whose before and after photos from 2013 were posted previously. She provides this update, now 3 years into her Wheat Belly lifestyle:

“Hubby and I have each been maintaining around a 50-lb. weight loss for over three years by continuing to follow the Wheat Belly plan and spreading the Wheat Belly message to anyone who’s interested.”

Carol before & after

Lose the wheat, lose the grains, lose the weight and, if you stick with the program, it stays off.
