Hey everyone,

Just want to say first up I really appreciate anyone reading and offering any help they can. This place is a minor miracle and incredible resource.

I have sought treatment from a underling Naturopath of a ‘SIBO specialist dr’ in Australia ... only because I attempted to get Candibactin AR and BR from a number of sources in Australia and was told by my Integrative GP that you cannot have it sent into Australia as it will be stopped by customs. And I have way too much on my plate to be able to source what I need so I decided to just take a shortcut and go to this ‘specialist’.

Anyway, started treatment using Bactrex and after a week the pain in my joints became unbearable. I already have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue so am well used to putting up with pain. And having gone on and off Wheat Belly I am also well used to the discomfort from going off grains and sugars. This was something different. Also mentally I became a mess. Highly irritable, major depression. Nausea, fatigue - the little energy that it took me years to claw back was gone. I was crashing physically after eating anything. My usable hours got reduced to around 5 a day. So I had to stop treatment.

Naturopath is saying it’s mold exposure and wants me to do a very expensive test for mycotoxins ($500). I have not agreed to do the test. Dr Davis commented on my Facebook post on this subject and said he knows of no link between die off and mold and to check out SIFO and the BNR17 effects on SIFO - which I have.

So I’ve read up on what’s available on SIFO. The treatment for which also includes Candibactin AR and BR.

My questions are this:

1. Does anyone have any information on what could cause excessive bacteria die off when treating SIBO?
2. If it is SIFO, how do I treat it while avoiding Bactrex (lessor equivalent of Candibactin AR and BR).

Thank you so much for reading on.
