Posted: 11/4/2020 3:36:41 PM Edited: 11/4/2020 3:55:40 PM (4)   My dad has had a diagnosis of aortic valve stenosis for years but is suddenly getting short of breath with very little exertion and sometimes just sitting.  He can lie down without issue but does have edema in his left ankle/calf.  He won’t get a valve replacement.  Heart function is 35% with mean gradient less than severe grading. Blood pressure 140 over 70.   He’s 90, 5’ 11", weighs 230 lbs (needs to lose 30lbs- working on it with fasting and undoctored), walks for about 30 min/day, cycles on a gym bike 3x/week for 15 minutes, does light weights and stretching.  Best news is that he recently got his D3 up to 60.  I heard in a video that he should increase D3 supplementation to maybe even 14,000 to get D3 labs up to 70. Lab tests at this link to document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OhYpJDaglkcSgM9ykRe-fG5niztQe-nyTov6LqP8QZ8/edit?usp=sharing Guessing advice would be to increase vitamin D to 14,000 and Magnesium to 1 gram.   Cardiologist would put him on a statin if was interested in taking one.    Would a statin possibly help?  Any thoughts on what else he can try?  Meds: Amlydopine - 2.5mg Levothyroxine -25mcg Furosemide - 40 mg   Supplements: B1 - Bentothiamine -150mg B12-Folic Acid 100 mcg (1000 mg) and Vitamin B12 (as Cyanocobalamin) 1 mg (1000 mcg)  Biotin (B7) - 2000 mcg P5P - pyridoxal 5’ phosphate - 50mg Fish Oil - 3000mg Vitamin D - 10,000mcg Magnesium citrate - 300mg Thyroid with Kelp (Sprouts brand) - just started taking this - need a better brand to take D-Mannose Chanca Piedra tea - Chanca piedra works well on gallstones, kidney stones, and kidney sludge. The name literally translated is “stone breaker.” It effectively softens both kidney stones and gallstones for easy passage out of the body. Essentially it dissolves calcifications in the body.
