Hi
I joined this forum to canvas a number of peoples experience and get some expert comment.
I have been following the undoctored approach for 3 years. 63 years old high Lp(a) and APOE2/4.
An NMR profile showed pattern A three years ago. when i was paleo . A recent test showed a change to an undesirable pattern B. I had eliminated all grains( for last 3 years) and was low carb around 50g per day. HDL and triglycerides are excellent. Weight stable, do alot of exercise.
Questions
I. Consume fish everyday and also take fish oil capsules. I also eat alot of nuts Omega 6/3 ration 4 to1. Omega3 values 3 times recommended levels. Can an excess of polyunsaturated affect LDL profile
2.Are there any stories of oxidized fish oil causing this sort of reaction?
3. My intake of cheese has increase and some commentators suggest EPOE4 people react adversely to this. also have partiality to 95% dark chocolate ! any problems here?
4. Any other possible explanations.?
any response greatly appreciated
best wishes
