I’m scheduled for bypass surgery in the next couple of weeks, and one concern I have is the type of medications I’m likely to be prescribed to take home with me for the recovery stage. The number one concern is painkillers. I realize a certain amount may be necessary, but I want any medications to be as non-disruptive as possible to the undoctored protocol - not to mention any ongoing addictive effects. Also of concern are antibiotics and the like.

Any thoughts on which drugs to minimize/avoid, and which protocols I should add/increase would be welcome. For example, should I up my intake of probiotics to try to counter the antibiotic effect on the microbiome?

Thanks as ever for your input.
