In prior posts in the forum, I have read that CoQ10 and Vitamin E Tocopherols do not mix. That Vitamin E somehow limits the impact/benefit of the CoQ10.  Does this also apply to Vitamin E Tocotrienols?  I started taking Vitamin E after reading some of Dr. Bredesen’s work on preventing Alzheimer’s.

Second question: I have been reading Heart_Builder’s nice work on heart failure in old forum posts.  By the way, his posts have been very educational.  Based on his comments, I believe his heart failure is not ischemic.  Does anyone have any comments on the effectiveness of CoQ10 on ischemic heart failure?  I assume it won’t hurt and hopefully it is somewhat helpful.  I was already taking 200mg per day.  Just yesterday or today, I upped the dose to 200mg three times per day.  I am taking the ubiquinol form. Any thoughts?

I was telling my wife that I might need to get a second job to fund my supplement habit.

CoQ10 and E do mix - - - not a problem
test your CoQ10 levels.  if you are at the high end or higher than the range you are fine.  world class athletes take 400mg

cheers

Dr. Langsjoen says to "bite the capsule" before you swallow it for better absorption.
I’ve done that everyday since listening to that podcast.

I do the same thing, Boo. I forget to mention it, though.

<grin>

Next thing you know - you will be as strong as your great grandparents - and eating the same food - with the low CAD rate that was common 100+ years ago..
