It seems NAC aids two opposing effects. Biofilm disruptor, right? Want to be able to get at the bacteria with the chemicals. Makes sense.

But, what about the biofilm of the intestine? Wouldn’t disrupting that be creating/contributing a leaky gut?

Another thought: why does it take multiple attacks (Candibactin)? Are the bacteria hiding? If so, how does one ever achieve eradication?

So far the theory.

Maybe because the mucosal lining is one of the fasted regenerating tissue, NAC regularly taken now for more than 10 year didn’t cause intestinal permeabilty in my case?
