Posted: 4/11/2020 9:54:17 AM   My first batch of Shirota is done.  Results are creamy, no whey at all and the taste is not as tart/tangy as the initial batch of L.reuteri when I have to restart it.  I used the same method, fermenting for 42 hours.  It’s 9:45AM in Houston and I just had about a 1/4 cup taste test, praying that I don’t end up taking a nap in 30 minutes!  :) I normally save my yogurt treat for evening for that reason. I’ve seen the comments regarding freezing the Yakult in other threads but just to clarify again here, is it safe to put the remaining unopened bottles in my freezer?  If the risk is "exploded" bottles, how about opening it and making ice cubes?
