Posted: 4/5/2020 10:27:50 PM Edited: 4/5/2020 10:56:13 PM (8)   I usually feel really horrid in the night at this time (it’s 10 PM here) -- i.e. when cortisol levels drop and cytokenes kick in.  Typically, a lot of shortness of breath comes on, tightness in lungs and mucous or whatever builds up making me want to cough -- but the cough is very unproductive and dry. I’m fighting a virus which is constantly attacking all the epithelial cells from my nose, through my throat down to bottom of lungs.  Very dry, slightly burning, irritated feeling all the way down.  It feels very foreign to me.. I don’t ever remember a flu virus like this.  I’m pretty convinced it is covid.  I am discounting the flu since I get bad shortness of breath, which is rare in the flu I’ve read. Also I don’t have watery eyes which is common in the flu.. I have more dry eyes if anything that sometimes burn with dryness.. maybe the virus loves the cells in the cornea which provide the eye moisture as well I dunno.. they love the epithelial cells which provide moisture to the respiratory tract.  I also have no nasal congestion at all.. perfectly clear but dry.  (Btw, I’ve read some symptoms other covid 19 sufferers have experienced -- i.e. ones who have been diagnosed with it -- and one of the symptoms was burning eyes along with an acute brief earache which feels like your ear is going to explode.. both of which I experienced. But I took vit c a couple hours ago.. 2250mg of it in water.  It really does seem to help.  I get less shortness of breath, less tightness in lungs and less interference/mucous or whatever down in lungs .. cough seems more productive with some rattling (still nothing comes up). For the past few days, before bed, I’ve been having to do albuterol nebulizer treatments and then cough over and over for 30 minutes until it frees, in order to just become a rattling cough, which shifts things around down there a bit and provides me some relief.  I then go to bed with oxygen concentrator output of 3L/min.  Btw, these O2 concentrators $115 a month to rent here.. doctor prescribed it and I paid out of pocket rather than go though all the insurance requirements which would of taken over a week to get the machine.  Is well worth the $115 to save my life.. I got it the same day my doc prescribed it. Maybe I wont’ have to do the albuterol treatment tonight we’ll see, due to the vitamin c. I did go outside briefly, in 50F weather , for a few mins.. came back in and started to feel a little shortness of breath and coughing.  I’m thinking breathing in that cold air, gave the virus in my bronchial tubes & trachea a boost or something. I wonder if it helps to breathe in humid boiling water.   To give it some heat and moisture.  My tubes are dry and I want to piss off the covid by heating it up a bit.  Or maybe the like moisture? I dunno. I’m not gonna let this fricking virus kill me.   I’ll keep up the undoctored protocol, megadosing vit c, taking 2 x RDA of zinc/copper , doubling up on Vit D3. Hrm btw, I haven’t felt an arrhythmia (premature atrial contractions) today now that I think of it.. I supplemented potassium last night and today.  Covid 19 known to cause hypokalemia by depleting potassium by some pathway (ACE2 or whatever).   Also havent’ had cramps.. wonder if I’ll breathe better when going bed tonight.  I highly recommend this device (continous overnight pulse oximieter with logging and bluetooth app for data/chart); I got it for $179 a few weeks back to prepare for this covid (glad I did).  Demand for it is up it seems as itis now $219.  Makes sense.. this thing can be a life saver.  It vibrates on your finger if you get below yoru SpO2 threshhold you set... has awoken me several times when I had threshold at 90% SpO2 : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SZ2NV5L Btw, I read a story today of this one young guy who went to the ER for covid symptoms, was treated there with O2 and they sent him home (without any O2 I presume) and he was doing okay at 2 AM, his wife fell asleep and found him dead at 6 AM.  Just think if he had the above continuous pulse oximeter, he might of been awaken by it when his oxygen got below 90%.  I am assuming his oxygen got too low and that’s how he died but I suppose it could of been a coronary event I dunno.  I’d really liek to get a continuous SpO2 monitor that can also alert another person via an app notification or text message when SpO2 gets too low.. if she had that ... and if the hospital sent him home with an O2 concentrator, he might be alive now still.   I wish the device I had did more than vibrate.. like alert my BF if I get low.. I didn’t wake one time until it got down to 74%... and that’s dangerously low which can cause organ damage and brain damage. Tags:
