I’ve been using Nordic Naturals Triglyceride Omega 3 fish oil. But it’s a bit pricey.
I am considering Member’s Mark because it’s like half the cost and Bob uses it, so I imagine it must be pretty decent. I’ve read that the triglyceride form absorbs better, but don’t know how much of a difference this makes. I am thinking it must not make much of a difference because otherwise Bob probably wouldn’t use it.
I am on a limited disability income and well I can use the cost savings anywhere I can.
How much would I be sacrificing with the switch?
I never burp the fish oil when I drink it straight out of the bottle. It’s tastes clean and lemony. I have gauged what is about 1 tsp and just sip out of the bottle for simplicity. Do you burp a lot with these Member Mark fish oil caps, if so, what does it taste like?
I see the double strength version has a better ratio of EPA to DHA vs. the triple strength (which seems to favor EPA more than DHA by a bit). But the double strength unfortunately also adds D3. Bob, how do you take it? Do you take 3 of the double strength and 2 of the triple strength per day? I currently take 10k IU of D3 per day but I imagine after the next blood test I’ll have to be tapering down on that by a bit.. maybe like 8k IU per day.. we’ll see. My 25 D Hydroxy was only at 38 ng/Ml with 5k IU per day. Aiming for 60-70 ng/mL.
