After thinking I had a heart condition, it dawned on me that I’d been dropping a few pounds and so my meds should be lowered. I am 64yo otherwise healthy woman. At the gym I watch my heart rate soar to 170 on the elliptical or jogging at 5.0 for a minute or two. It comes down very quickly so that tells me it’s a strong heart. That and I went and got the calcium score and aced it.

i lowered my daily dose and right away the problem has calmed quite a bit. My endocrinologist at MGH wants to put me on lexothyroxine (which I was on years ago before learning about ndt and seeing a Functional doc). I was against it but after reading Dr Davis’ blog post maybe that would be best. I am naturally energetic and this med makes me too speedy at times.

should I switch back?  My Tsh is .3  I have Hashimoto’s and my tpo is usually in the 500s. I can’t tolerate iodine. Instantly feel my thyroid react and swell.

the only symptom I ever had was losing the outer eyebrows.  Oh and the intolerance of iodine.

I have been on thyroid drugs for around 15 years.

Maybe you need some electrolytes. Try an electrolyte tablet or packet and add some salt, too.
