During a calcium score and cholesterol test today (which turned out fine), my fasting BG was 97. It was taken at 10:15 AM and the lady had to milk my finger to get the blood sample.

I am doing the program except for prebiotics (my stomach issues are still be straightened out). My thyroid is low. I don’t yet feel like exercising aside from working around the house and yard.

As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I can’t do very low carb. I enjoy the food, but I get heart palpitations no matter how much magnesium and potassium I take. That can’t be good for me.

Should I be concerned about this? Will my blood sugar probably normalize when my thyroid does? Should I look for someone to prescribe Metformin?

Here’s the thread with my thyroid and other test results if that’s helpful: https://innercircle.undoctored.com/forum/topics.aspx?ID=22165

Thanks!

Lori_Miller:

Have you had your homocysteine checked?

High homocysteine could infer higher stroke risk.

Right: Milking your finger sends blood sugar higher. The person doing the finger stick should not have done this, Lori.

Any reason to believe you have small intestinal bacterial or fungal overgrowth?

Thanks, PrimalType. I probably need to drink some water before doing a reading. I hadn’t had any when I took the test.
