I have been buying the 2 liter bottles of "refreshe" seltzer water from Safeway to make my magnesium water (only ingredient listed is carbonated water) and the GoodSense MOM (no bleach) from Amazon.  I followed Dr. Davis’ recipe of adding 3 tablespoons of MOM to the 2 liter bottle (after pouring out a tad of the water).  All the MOM dissolved, but the bottle never caved in as Dr. Davis talked about in one of his videos.  And there was still some carbonation left in the water when I drank it.

Someone posted that different brands of carbonated water may have different levels of carbonation.  Which seems likely to be the case with the refreshe seltzer water.  So this last time I gradually added 1/2 tablespoon of MOM after the initial 3 tablespoons to a COLD 2 liter bottle.  Each time I shook the bottle and waited to see if I would get MOM sediment forming.   The water went clear at 3.5 T. of MOM, 4.0 T. of MOM, and 4.5 T. of MOM.  At that point I stopped and called it good even though there was no cave in.  But when I got the bottle out of the fridge the next morning, it was CAVED IN!   And there was no bite of carbonation when I drank it like before.   I also add that my mag water has always had very little taste to it.

Is it bad to have carbonation in the Magnesium water?
I am using SodaStream at room temp and it seems there is a bit of fizzy even after a couple of days.
