In the Iodine Quick Reference guide in the supplements section it lists Vitacost Kelp 660mg.  On the bottle in the ’Warnings’ section it states "Not for long term use".  Can someone explain to me why we can’t use kelp for iodine replacement long term?  How long are we safely able to use this product?

Malcolm -- thank you for clarification.  You’ve been very helpful.  BTW, I had labs drawn this morning for thyroid antibodies so I will have the results in a few days.

Question: Should iodine supplementation be continued indefinitely as maintenance, even with no thyroid issues?

Thanks Bob, that helps! I supped for a year but then got lazy and haven’t ordered more. Sounds like I should continue along with other essentials like D3, Mag, & Omega-3’s for full synergistic effects and protection.
