I have been successfully making L. Reuteri yogurt with regular, compliant, cow’s half-and-half, inulin and tablets or reserved yogurt. Love it! So does my wife.

However, she has just begun a dairy elimination on the advice of her functional doctor. However, her doc says that goat’s milk or sheep’s milk are OK.

Has anyone made the yogurt with goat’s milk or sheep’s milk?

Any suggestions on recipe modifications in trying the alternate milks? (Haven’t tried to find compliant goat or sheep half-and-half!)

Thanks in advance for any information, ideas or suggestions!

I, too, have made it with goat’s milk and it does fine.

I’ve also switched over to using only raw potato starch and the end-result is at least as good, perhaps a hair thicker.

Updates On Goat Milk?

I have a novice who wants to try as goat is what she can have. What is the formula that works for L. Reuteri ?

1 Quart - Inulin or potato starch ... hours and temp.
