I recall listening to some podcasts of Dr Stephanie Seneff’s research on vitamin D from sunlight and how the vitamin D sulfate (which the body creates from sunlight) is... by far....more beneficial to the body. If the levels have been elevated with oral D, she says the the body will not produce the D sulfate form. If access to a lot of sun is possible, can D be reduced in the summer?

In my case, with a valve calcifying, I know I need to get the D up to 60 or 70 asap, and my overall D production may be impaired? I have had issues with getting/keeping D in the 70 range.  I’m now on 20,000 IUs the past 2 days and already feeling more energy and more positive. As far as other fat soluble nutrients, I’m taking 5000 IU’s of vitamin A from fish liver oil and 200IUs of high gamma tocopherol E, high delta fraction tocotrienols, and 2 Now K2 complex per day. Do any of these amounts need adjustment to avoid interfering with D absorption?

Does anyone here use lichen derived D and if so...do you feel there are any advantages to it besides it being maybe cleaner and less refined than lanolin derived D? Maybe co-factors for better absorbency?

Healthnut as far as I know. If your calcium levels rise significantly that is a sign of to much vitamin D .
