We have decided to treat our daughter for methane-dominant SIBO using antibiotics.  Please provide any feedback on her treatment plan.

Her current doctor has limited experience with SIBO (2 prior patients with one confirmed relapse).  He has prescribed rifaximin 550mg TID 14days + 500mg neomycin BID 14 days.  This is the most common first step for methane-dominant SIBO.

We understand follow up plan post-antibiotics is essential to try to prevent relapse.  I have read as much as I can find from SIBO experts such as:
1. Dr. Siebecker, www.siboinfo.com
2. Dr. Pimentel, "New IBS Solution"
3. Dr. Weinstock, www.gidoctor.net/dr-lenny-weinstock.php
4. Dr. Mona Morstein, http://azimsolutions.com/morstein/

All presented at the recent SIBO Symposium in Portland OR.  Attendee summaries are available:
1. http://sibobreakup.blogspot.com/2015/06/my-notes-from-sibo-symposium.html
2. http://sibowithhope.com/2015/06/07/sibo-symposium-2015/

Unfortunately, none of these doctors are local to us and we have been unable to find a local doctor familiar with their SIBO protocols, which are all similar.

Her doctor did not want to prescribe a prokinetic.  He has no experience with it and is as yet unwilling to experiment.

Our plan would be to try to implement a plan as similar as possible to that of Dr. Mona Morstein

2. http://azimsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Letterhead-SIBO-TS-1.pages.pdf
3. http://azimsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Letterhead-SIBO-TS-2.pages.pdf

For follow up diet, we would implement Dr. Siebecker's plan:
http://www.siboinfo.com/uploads/5/4/8/4/5484269/sibo_specific_diet_food_guide_sept_2014.pdf

The sticking point is a prokinetic.  The following are proposed.
1. LDN, 4.5mg before bed for methane-dominant
2. low-dose erythromycin, 50mg
3. Resolor
4. Iberogast and other herbals

We are considering LDN + Iberogast, but there are suggestions from the recent SIBO Symposium that LDN is not very effective.  Resolor seems to be favored for constipation dominant, but it has to be purchased from Canada and has side-effects.

Has anyone had success with LDN as a prokinetic?

SIBO and Cinnamon EO drops...

Is there an alternative if a person cannot tolerate the EO drops?

Pretty sure the cinnamon is used to treat fungal infection. It is sometimes combined with SIBO treatment, but as far as I know is not needed for SIBO treatment. It can be hard to kmow what your body is telling you to focus on.
