• Conference registration fee includes discount CT heart scans done on the latest technology while at the conference. Conference seminars would be held at or near the scanning center. The registration fee would also include a complete Liposcience NMR with blood drawn while at the conference.  Imagine this…  Conference planners would negotiate discounts on these procedures.  We would be getting comparable blood draws and scans…

• Conference would include featured speakers in some appropriately sized room in or near the scanner center.  Attendees could exit and return from the CT scans and blood draws during the sessions.

• Conference featured speakers would include, of course, Dr. Davis and the TYP program staff.  Wouldn’t it be great too to hear from “G”?  Maybe Dr. Blanchet?  Maybe a representative of Liposcience to describe their operation and latest technology?  Maybe Dr. Eades or Dr. Cannell?  I’ll bet we could get quite a few speakers to join us.

• Registration fees would pay for TYP staff and speakers to attend.

• The first year or three there might not be a lot of participants.  But IMAGINE… Over time… this could become a very big deal with a lot more members attending…  Sharing of Virtual Clinical Trial results…  Remember, this would synchronize our CT heart scans and blood test draws both in terms of timing and method so our results over time would be comparable….  Over time, we’d have the CT scanner going all night to get everyone scanned during the conference.

• And then at night what might we do together?  Well, maybe a show and we could spend some time trying to “beat the odds”.

• The date for such a conference would need to be thought through to ensure that it was out far enough for folks to plan.  Of course, getting Dr. Davis and TYP staff participation would be essential.

• I thimk we would want to form a “Member Conference Planning Committee” as well as get participation from at least 1 TYP program staff member to ensure logistics are worked through.  I’d be willing to be the Member Co-chair of the event along with the other event Co-chair being a member of the TYP program staff.  I’m happy also to do any other role if someone else would like to be the conference Member Co-chair.  I would just like to see something like this happen.
