Posted: 1/14/2023 10:20:54 PM Back to Top   Insulin has an effect on the kidneys - causes sodium retention.  So both sugar and artificial sugars appear to cause BP to go up. I think the confusion about limiting salt was mostly due to highly sweetened diets. Tags:
