HI everyone!

I am new here. I have heart disease. No plaque but inflammation. It's been a while since I tested my particles. I will soon. I have been eating
Ornish but I would binge on coconut sugar and chocolate on occasion (lifelong problem, not a result of the diet)  I always felt fatigued on the diet.
I have Gallbladder problems so low-carb has been difficult for me. This time I will approach it by eating 5 times per day, small amounts of meat and
moderate portions of veggies. I will also eat raw and soaked nuts with kelp noodles, some rice protein (starch taken out) . Anyways, I had to go off
the Ornish diet which was good for my Gallbladder. I had no pain at all . But my inflammation is horrible. My arthritis is so bad I can barely walk.

So today is the first day doing this program. I will also eat more fish less red meat, more olive oil, less coconut oil due to gallbladder issues. I am
also thinking of making bone broths with small amounts of beef shanks, oxtail or chicken in the broth to help me digest the meat better. Also the gelatinous
meats rather than the muscle meats are much better for arthritis.

I am wondering if anyone else has this sort of inflammation problems and anything else you do? I also take MSM. But I am convinced going low-carb
will reverse a lot of my pain. ANy testimonials of this would be great.

Also, I had my gallbladder removed almost 20 years ago.  I guess it could vary by person, but I haven't had a problem with a low carb diet.

Is the scan you are referring to the scan that traces plaque? I got that like 2 or 3 years ago and I have no plaque.

My Naturopath says inflammation is my problem...and depression..

It's a CAT scan.  You lie down on a table and are pushed into a tube (CT scanner), where they can look at the calcium in your heart.

Quoted From Ilaine: so I think omega-6 oils are bad for my joints.

No, only processed, rancid omega 6's.  Raw sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts, are actually quite good re inflammation.

Monkey, you may need to try eliminating different things, nightshades may not be a trigger for you.
