I noticed in the past that as people age the skin on their forearms gets thinner and they develop large purple blotches.

Imagine my horror when this happened to me a month ago--my first purple blotch--and I'm not that old (hah).

I applied various lotions for a few weeks and nothing helped.

Then I remembered how well I responded to raising my vitamin D blood levels and cut open one of my 5000IU pills (NOW Foods) and spread the oil from one on one forearm and the oil from another on the other. I have done this every morning for five days.

The purple blotch has almost entirely disappeared.  The skin on my forearms feels thicker.

Might be worth a try if you have this problem.  Let us know if it works.

Heh, I noticed the same thing.  You can bet I'm gonna try it when my time comes!

I use arnica for bruises, maybe that would help.
