I have used Aloe on my skin for years. Today a man at work was telling me of the benefits of drinking the stuff. Anyone doing that? If so what benefit do you see?
Seems like it 99% water with some amino acids.

It cleans house.....if you know what I mean!

I think it also buffers the gut, creating a more alkaline environment.

My gramma drank it with apple cider vinegar and stopped her painful arthritis, but I wondered if it was vinegar:)

I use ACV on and off. Not sure what it does for me. Silly huh?
As for Aloe, guess I will stick to the external application. It has helped my skin to this point.

I always had plants and used them for cuts burns my sons excema when he was little but now with living away in the winters I got rid of 56 houseplants!

I recall from one of the online meetups that there is emerging evidence that ingesting aloe could be carcinogenic. Can anyone remember the details?

That’s right, it’s whole leaf extract that is apparently problematic - classified as Group 2B (possible human carcinogen). Aloe is present in many gut support products, but it might not be the same whole leaf extract
