Posted: 4/21/2021 3:44:09 PM   To All: I recently received notes from new Members suggesting it was difficult to locate and join our regularly scheduled, live-video Meetups.  To make joining as intuitive and unambiguous as possible (noting there are already four ways to join) I have created another, unmistakable and highly intuitive, method to join. As a test (awaiting Member feedback), logged in Members will see the modal dialog box below when going to or refreshing the Member Home Page once a Meetup is in session. Click the "Join Meetup" button to join or the "Cancel" button to dismiss the dialog box.  Here are a couple of other notes. 1. You can still use any of the other four methods to join if you prefer. 2. I noted it takes a little longer for the dialog box to pop up on mobile devices due to page download speeds (the box doesn’t pop up until the entire page is downloaded). 3. The box only pops up after the Meetup has started and during initial page loads or page refreshes. This creates two less than perfect scenarios which we may be able to resolve in the future. a. If you are already on the Home Page, the box will not automatically appear once the Meetup starts.  As before, you must refresh the page after the Meetup starts to see the box. b. Each time you refresh or return to the Home Page the box reappears and must closed. Given all of the above we can discuss whether this new feature is a net benefit or net distraction. HH Tags:
