Welcome Guest, Give the Gift of Health to Your Loved Ones
I succeeded in talking my 59 yr old brother into buying a "Keto Mojo" to monitor his BG when eating his crappy SAD diet mostly for shock and awe value hoping to stimulate a diet change. I have been trying to get him to re-evaluate what he eats and how its killing him slowly.
He tested for the first time this morning, I got there 3 hrs too late to catch PP breakfast so we tried an experiment. He took a baseline reading of 96 at 11:00am, 3 hrs after a breakfast of chirico, eggs, and homefries, so had him eat a slice of wheat toast and I thought for sure this would spike the BG. Well I was the one shocked, his post 40 min reading after the toast was 94, I was expecting at least 130 but was actually lower than the baseline.
Any ideas or speculations on what is going on here because I can only surmise that he has no problem handling a high glycemic food items blood glucose rise where his insulin responds quickly to shuttle away the sugar. Similar to Benedicta Pollock (Dennis’ wife) who can eat a cup of rice without much of a bump in BG.
