Posted: 10/14/2019 12:05:31 AM   I’m continuing to track my blood sugar using my new "Contour NEXT" glucose meter. In general, my morning fasting value is 90-ish (plus or minus a bit). My value after eating breakfast is usually a bit lower. Other values throughout the day are in the 90 - 100 range. But a problem occurs when I test my blood sugar after supper. It typically spikes up to 115-ish Supper is usually meat with a a few vegetables, but that might include sweet potatoes, which are high-carb. Mind you, I eat just 50 grams of sweet potatoes, which is only about 2 ounces. And for dessert I eat 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate with plain green tea. Is this one "excursion" in blood sugar per day a problem that I should be concerned with? Tags:
