Posted: 9/18/2019 10:33:45 PM   I was diagnosed with blocked arteries around 12 or 13 years ago & AF shortly after.  I was having around 3 or 4 episodes per year but over the last year or so this has increased to around every 9 or 10 days.  I have found that sometimes exercising on my rowing machine or elliptical will help - each episode usually lasts around 1 or 2 days.  I am taking 2 x 80mg sotalol per day, anti-coagulant eliquis (apixaban) & 20mg for reflux. I also recently started taking 225mcg vitamin K2, cod liver oil, 2 x 1200mg magnesium malate, taurine 6mg astaxanthin every 2nd day & Life extension B complex. Every morning I have magnesium citrate & potassium citrate in a glass of water.  After exercise I take l-citrulline in a glass of water. As I live in tropical North Queensland Australia I get my Vitamin D by sitting in the sun at around 11 a.m. for around 12 minutes at least 5 days per week. My concern is what happens if the AF becomes persistent - what are my next options? I have had 3 CAC scores done over the last 6 years & whilst it is extremely high (around 1130) it has been stable at that level each time I’ve had the scan - I am due for another early next year to see how things are progressing. I am a little disappointed that it hasn’t reduced due to my low carb lifestyle however I am hoping that by commencing the K2 etc it might start going in the downward direction.  Any advice on what else I might try in relation to my AF would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks Tags:
